Job Shadow DayFriday, November 12, 2010Get involved! Become a Mentor! Help a Simsbury High School student take their first career step.
What is Job Shadow Day? SCOC's Job Shadow Day is modeled after the national program that matches students with business mentors. The students 'shadow' the mentor for one day learning about their work and career path.
When is it? Job Shadow Day will be held on Friday, November 12, 2010 (snow date: Friday, November 19, 2010)
Why participate? Past mentors have found this to be a rewarding experience, something they get more out of than the student. It reaffirms why you do what you do for a living and why you enjoy it. It also is a great way to promote Simsbury and Simsbury businesses to the youth in our community.
How can I participate? To participate, simply fill out and mail in mail in the Mentor Application Form. If becoming a mentor isn't for you, there are lots of other ways you can help us with Job to Career activities.
