Mission Statement (who we are)
The Simsbury Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to serving its membership through the advancement, education and communication of the economic, civic, cultural and social interests of our community.

Vision Statement (where we want to be)
During the next decade, the Simsbury Chamber of Commerce will be the most respected, valued and effective Chamber in the region.

Goal
The Simsbury Chamber of Commerce will be the most respected, valued and effective Chamber in the region.

Objective #1:
The Simsbury Chamber of Commerce will maintain its leadership role in the community

Leadership Committee - Chairman Pam Bowman
• Prepare for the 2009/2010 Board Planning Session in January
• Improve the organizational structure by implementing strategies from the 2008 Board Planning Session

Objective #2:
The Simsbury Chamber of Commerce through its Marketing Committee will develop a multiple communication strategy.

Marketing Committee - Chairman Kay Green
• Coordinate marketing theme of "your business solutions network" with committees
• Develop marketing strategy for the Home Improvement Show
• Promote chamber website as the place to go to find local services, products and chamber information

Newsletter - Editor Charity Folk
• Publish quarterly newsletter that communicates our goals and marketing strategies
• Solicit articles from Chamber membership and Committee Chairs
• Promote member accomplishments
• Highlight chamber events
• Secure advertising to cover costs of publication

Directory Committee - Chairman Terry Boulton
• Publish annual business directory and community guide

Objective #3
Communicate key issues affecting businesses to government agencies

Government Affairs Committee - Chairman Peter Pabich
• Participate in Zoning Commission's update of zoning regulations
Advocate for a mixed use regulation
Advocate Chamber recommendations to Simsbury Center Zone Regulation
• Meet regularly with legislators and town officials
• Research and identify available workforce housing in Simsbury

Objective #4:
The Simsbury Chamber of Commerce will enhance it's visibility and involvement throughout the community and region
