This committee assists the Board of Directors, Membership Committee, and Chamber staff in membership retention through membership outreach, including supporting members at networking events by introducing them to other members, adopting a new member by personally inviting them to events and having quarterly one-on-one contact, calling or visiting Chamber members, promoting the Chamber during day-to-day activities, and wearing an SCOC Ambassador name tag when attending Chamber events. These people are, basically, the cheerleaders of the Chamber. They love what their Chamber membership does for them and can't wait to share their enthusiasm with others. This committee meets at Noon for a pizza lunch on the first Wednesday of each month, but the bulk of the time commitment is at Chamber-sponsored events and in a few phone calls per month.

Business Leaders Breakfast Task Force
This task force develops, organizes, and presents the annual networking and social event known as the Business Leaders Breakfast.
Education Committee
This committee promotes Chamber member participation in school-to-career initiatives, including Job Shadow Day, student scholarships, the annual Lunch & Learn at Henry James Memorial School, and others. In addition, they work to enhance the relationship and collaboration with Simsbury High School to increase the school's participation in school-to-career initiatives, and solicit funding and support for all the initiatives. This committee's responsibilities also include the development, procurement, and presentation of member education programs to assist Chamber members in the development and growth of their businesses. This committee meets on the second Wednesday of each month and typically involves a time commitment of 2 to 4 hours per month.
Executive
This committee consists of the Chamber's officers, plus two additional directors. Their responsibilities lie with reviewing and/or setting Chamber policy, as needed, and setting goals for the Plan of Action.
Government Affairs
The Government Affairs Committee establishes a dialogue among business owners and community and state leaders to foster growth and connectivity of the Simsbury region. The committee presents informative, current and relevant topics that impact and effect businesses and citizens of the Simsbury community. The committee also presents an annual Legislative Update event, and is responsible for maintaining a positive and productive relationship with towns and state government, the business/employer/developer community and the communities at large. When deemed necessary by the committee, the committee will propose policy positions to the Board of Directors.
Health & Wellness
The purpose of the Health & Wellness Committee is to promote health, wellness, and physical fitness in the workplace and in the community through outreach, education, and community events.
Marketing
This committee works together to develop, implement and carry out the Chamber's Marketing Plan, promote the Chamber website as the "go-to" place to get Chamber information, and works with the Membership committee to design and implement a campaign to increase membership.
