These free, collaborative work sessions are geared to those who are looking for an established time and collaborative environment to work on their social networking profiles. According to Jennifer Keohane, Business Outreach Librarian, "People ‘get’ Facebook and LinkedIn now. I rarely hear business people asking why use these tools. Instead, they are talking about how they lack the time and know-how to work on their LinkedIn and Facebook pages. Our goal is to provide a place, time and facilitated discussion, so more people can leverage these free tools. We hope to have these be a bi-weekly series in the future."
During each session, attendees will use the time to complete their online profiles, find connections and build traffic to their pages, learn new applications and techniques from other attendees and share success stories. The sessions are free of charge and open to the public.
Attendees can drop in for all or part of the work session and can bring their own laptops or use the Library’s public computers. No pre-registration is required.
